Ultrasonic Peel and Sonophoresis

Ultrasonic Peel procedure, also known as “cavitation peeling” is a comfortable, efficient and safe alternative to traumatic manual peeling. A low-power, low-frequency ultrasound wave, creates microscopic blisters out of a special contact gel, that are filled with air. These blisters gradually increase in size and then suddenly pop. The energy of collapsing bubbles generates intense microscopic shockwaves, which thoroughly and completely painlessly peel away the keratinized cells, and excess secretions of the sebaceous glands. This procedure can even be used on patients with exceptionally sensitive skin, because there is absolutely no heating of the dermis. Ultrasound can also be used for non-surgical figure correction. Cells of the adipose tissue can be destroyed by the influence of special low-frequency pulses. The released fat turns into a liquid state and can be naturally excreted from the body. Other cells and blood vessels are not damaged using this technique.

Sonophoresis is a similar procedure that uses ultrasound to increase the permeability of cellular membranes and then deliver chemical solutions, emulsions, or ointments directly into the cells for an increased and immediate effect. Sonophoresis has many different applications, and is not a technique exclusive to cosmetology. However, in cosmetology, it can be used to deliver moisturizing, nutritive, revuvenating, or anti-cellulite products intracellulary. Five to fifteen sonophoresis sessions typically need to be performed to achieve a full effect.

Indications for Use

Cavitation peel is the best peeling method for patients with sensitive, delicate, or thin skin, as well as individuals suffering from couperosis.
Sonophoresis is used to moisturize, oxygenate, and deliver nutrients to the deepest layers of the dermis. A wide range of cosmetic products delivered intracelluarly with sonophoresis can solve a number of problems, such as getting rid of unwanted wrinkles or cellulite, toning skin and muscles, and more.

Advantages of Ultrasound:

  • Non-invasive
  • Quick and painless
  • Provides immediate and long-term effects
  • Solves a variety of skin problems through an appropriate choice of drugs
